THE DOS EQUIS SERIES

The Dos Equis Series is a series of collective art exhibitions which feature emerging and exciting artistic talent from Mexico’s visual arts scene. Its basic premise is that the cultural scene in Mexico’s urban spaces - and in Mexico City specifically - is unique, offering an affordable and stirring environment in which contemporary artists can live and work, and that the work emerging from these spaces deserves attention.

Furthermore, rather than simply showcasing the work of individual artists in conventional gallery spaces, the series occupies alternative venues and invited artists are asked to produce new work to interact with the space and its motifs in an attempt to create a narrative within the chapters exhibited.
