EMERGING FROM THE SHADOW
As the first in the Dos Equis Series, Emerging from the Shadow established the Series as an important proponent of the international promotion of young Mexico based contemporary visual artists.
Thematically, the show developed organically, relying on the links that developed of their own accord between the works of the artists involved. Principal concerns which emerged included a thorough exploration of personal identity, the representation of the body and the distancing of the indiviual from their surroundings.
