The Dos Equis Series is a series of collective and solo visual art projects which feature exciting emerging talent from Mexico's visual arts scene. Its basic premise is that the cultural scene in Mexico's urban spaces - and in Mexico City specifically - is unique, offering an affordable and stirring environment in which contemporary artists can live and work, and that the work emerging from these spaces deserves attention.
Furthermore, rather than simply showcasing the work of individual artists in conventional gallery spaces, the series occupies alternative venues and invited artists are asked to produce new work to interact with the space and its motifs in an attempt to create a narrative within the chapters exhibited.

In December 2009, the Dos Equis Series came to a close.
This website serves as an online archive of the projects completed between 2006 and 2009.
Both Jon Bonfiglio and Katri Walker continue to work between the UK and Mexico on a broad variety of projects across visual art, music and contemporary culture.
